About the Venue: SDSF

Soquel Demonstration State Forest (SDSF) is a 2,681 acre working forest established in 1990 and managed by California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) Soquel Demonstration State Forest. SDSF is a favorite destination for Bay Area and Santa Cruz County mountain bikers and contains the best legal trails for intermediate and advanced mountain bikers, with long climbs and challenging, technical descents.

SolidRedGlobeMountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC) has fostered an excellent, mutually beneficial relationship with CAL FIRE and we appreciate their willingness to work with us on trail projects and events. Special thanks to SDSF Forest Manager Angela Bernheisel and former SDSF Assistant Forest Manager Ed Orre for their support of our club and the mountain biking community in general.

Stay tuned for more information about this unique riding locale, including an update on the new 4-mile flow trail MBoSC has partnered with CAL FIRE to construct in the forest.
