SCSE 2014 celebrates another successful weekend of racing & camaraderie

The 2014 Bell Santa Cruz Super Enduro—presented by Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC)—returned to the Santa Cruz Mountains October 10-12 to cap off the second season of the California Enduro Series (CES).

2014 marked the third year for our wildly popular event, and the coveted 200 entries sold out on-line in a matter of minutes.

After kicking off the day with breakfast and rider’s meeting, racers took on the trails at Soquel Demonstration State Forest, hammering out 4 stages that covered 22 miles with 4800’ feet of elevation. The weather was perfect and the trails were running fast, making for a day of all time racing in sunny Santa Cruz.

The end of season vibe ran strong back at camp, with music blaring, beers flowing and friends rubbing elbows for one last time, until next season.

The official recap video, numerous photo essays, and athlete photos for purchase can be found here.

Race results and final CES standings can be found here. Congratulations to all podium winners and high fives to EVERYONE who came out for our event.

Much gratitude to our title sponsor Bell for going above and beyond as always. We couldn’t do this without the support of our volunteers and sponsors. Please check out our sponsor list and support those who support our community!

Extra special thanks to Soquel Demonstration State Forest land manager California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) for their support of our event.

Looking forward to another amazing event next year!
